Community Children's Services Plan
In Spring 2003, a group of policymakers, researchers, and children’s services providers began analyzing a Missouri law that allows any county in the state, including the City of St. Louis, to develop and fund a Community Children’s Services Plan.
Operating as part of the St. Louis Leaders Advancing the Agenda for Children, a broad-based civic coalition, the Children’s Services Plan Development Committee focused on determining how a plan addressing the needs of children, youth and families in the City of St. Louis might look. Two primary questions were explored. First, what are the priority problems and needs facing children in the City of St. Louis? Second, what services and programs might be put in place to effectively address these needs?

Citizens for Missouri's Children is dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of all Missouri's children, especially those with the greatest need.

The World in St. Louis
The World in St. Louis is a report that was developed for MHB in March of 2003. It presents information about residents of the City whose life experiences and world-views may differ from those of the mythical, stereotypical Middle American. This is information that is intended to help us learn about our neighbors and resources to direct them to when they might need help.

Vision for Children at Risk
Vision for Children at Risk (VCR) brings together agencies, people and resources to address the critical needs of the St. Louis area’s children and youth on a regional basis. Targeted especially are those children who face serious socio-economic risk. Vision for Children at Risk is founded on the belief that the health of children is vital to the overall health of the region, and that the community must work together regionally and strategically to address these issues effectively. VCR regularly prepares the Children of Metropolitan St. Louis Report to assist agencies to use the most up-to-date data in planning and partnering for positive change.
The 2007-2008 edition is now available - 158 pages - with data on 30 risk factors by zip code or other locale, plus demographics.
